Soul to Unite reaches 50 episodes

Soul to Unite episode 50The Estonia-based Soul to Unite crew began producing their fortnightly radio hour in April 2008, but it wasn't until they joined SSRadio in July of that year that things really took off for them. Since then they have been able to expand their audience and reach a truly global audience, from Estonia to USA, South-Africa to New Zealand - not to mention the rest of Europe.

This month, the Soul to Unite Radio Hour reached episode number 50. To celebrate the occasion, the hosts SD and Cordis decided to produce a very special episode in their native language of Estonian. "We are truly proud to be from Estonia, and it's great to see other Estonian shows like Cabrio, Housetrap and UrbanFlow on the SSRadio schedule", said SD.

You can listen-again to the special show here, or subscribe to the Soul to Unite podcast to get this and all future episodes straight to your MP3 player automagically. Well done guys, here's to the next 50!

Happy 2nd Anniversary to WCC Radio

WCC Radio 2nd anniversaryHeading up the LA-based West Coast Collective is a very talented DJ called Ricardo Torres, and it with great appreciation that we congratulate him on the 2nd anniversary of his WCC Radio show. To celebrate this, Ricardo has compiled a special 'classics' show, inspired by the music and the scene that he loves so much.

Ricardo told us, "I was in San Francisco for the Thanks Giving holiday to hang out with my bud Jay-J. He was doing a gig with his old producer partner Chris Lum at Temple on friday and then on Saturday he was playing with Julius Papp and David Harness at Mars Bar for a classics night. OMG they blew the roof of that place. The music was incredible, the mixing was flawless and the crowd gave me hope about the scene again. All the old heads came out. They left the kids with the babysitter and came out for one reason only: to dance! Watching and listening to these 3 veteran of the West Coast Sound playing back to back and switching it up every 30 minutes was so inspiring. Hence this second anniversay show which are some of my favorite classics. Not the usual stuff you hear in these classics show but more like the stuff that wasn't overplayed. If you were a club rat like I was in the mid to late 90's you will go "hell yeah" and raise your hands in the air as you listen to this set. You might have to take out the baby powder for the full experience - the heads know what I'm talking about!".

You can listen-again to the anniversary show here, or subscribe to the WCC Radio podcast to get this and all future episodes straight to your MP3 player automagically. Nice one Ricardo!
