Profile: Gavin Peters is a London based DJ who has become firmly established on the House music scene over the last 10 years. Gavin was inspired growing up watching DJ's such as Louie Vega and listening to music from producers like Kerri Chandler, Masters at Work, Blaze, Phil Asher (Restless Soul), Quentin Harris, Spen and Osunlade. In turn, Gavin developed his own unique style crossing through deep, soulful, tech, tribal & minimal house. His ability to gauge a crowd and rock a dancefloor have seen him behind the decks at the UK's leading events and clubs such as Ministry of Sound, O2, Pacha, Love Puppy, Turnmills, Neighbourhood, Plan B, Sick on the Dancefloor, The Cross, Bagleys, AKA, Camden Palace, O2 Arena, The Key, House + Terrace, Club Supreme, SE1 club + many more. He has travelled further afield to Miami, San Francisco, Croatia, Ibiza, Barcelona, Costa del Blanca and Greece. Gavin started his journey playing in many bars and clubs in and around London. After 2 years of playing for various known promotions at venues such as Yacht Club, Aquarium, Glasshouse and more, Gavin secured a residency at Sound Stage in Kings Cross where he created the event Funky Fridays. Over this long-standing residency Gavin bought in some of the hottest DJs the UK had to offer such as the legendary Paul 'Trouble' Anderson, Neil Pierce, Bobby + Steve, Aaron Ross, Chrissy T, Danny Foster, Rap Saunders, Grant Richards, Tony Nicholls, Funkie P, James Jackson to name a few. After 2 years at Sound Stage Gavin took his DJ skills and his popular event to a new venue - the formerly known Club Supreme - where he launched the now infamous after-party named After Hours. Continuing to bring his style of house music to the crowds, this party again featured some of the big name guests who had previously joined Gavin at Sound Stage. Gavin later teamed up with Wriggers to help form the notorious event 'Not for Squares' which brought in international guests Osunlade, Patrick Wilson, Dennis Christenson, Jimpster as well as the UK's famed artists Copyright (Defected), Bugz in the Attic, Rap Saunders, Phil Asher (Restless Soul) and Tasita D'Mour. Gavin continued to play at all the major parties and venues in the UK, becoming a consistent name and guest DJ on the House scene. However, in 2007 Gavin Peters' name would become internationally known when him and good friend and fellow London DJ - Sy Sez - formed the production outfit AphroDisiax. In a short space of time they had established themselves as a heavy hitting name within the global house scene with their floor-filling tracks and remixes such as 'Gotta Keep Moving', 'Russelology' and 'Unfinished Business'.
