His popular style of music includes a broad blend of styles, using different songs to create music that flows seamlessly through the night. In 2003, alongside with the guitarist Jair Deodato, Carlos Vargas decides to create the Deep & Soul Project , a Soulful House Band that crosses House music with musicians live on Stage, working currently with more than 40 musicians, from all background and genres, in a “Jam Session” concept that its getting massive support both domestically and abroad. Alongside this, Vargas is also very focused on his solo career, having his first Solo EP “Party People”, out on the USA Label Look At You Records and being supported by artists like Tony Humphries, Grant Nelson, Andy Ward, Cj Mackintosh, Michael Fossatti, Robert Owens, Luis Radio, Danny Clark, Anthony Angell (Stereo Sushi), Fabio Tosti, Guy Robin, Steve Parr (Faizemusic) among many others, and currently being on Studio working on “Summer Nights”, going out on the Brazillian Label Grooveland Music and "This Must Be Love", featuring US Stephanie Cooke on Vocals and going out on US Label Consortium Muzik. Also in the studio walls is another EP coming out on Solid Ground Recordings, that will feature US Vocalist Nicole Mitchell on Vocal duties. Although Vargas is currently much more focused on his original productions, he is having each time more requests for remix work, with his name inserted in releases from Labels like Look At You Records, Grooveland Music Brazil, Brainkat Music Australia, Daddyfunk, Solar, Mercado Paralelo, TM Music Italy or Muenchen, working with artists like Nicole Mitchell, Carolyn Victorian, Soulpreachers, Natasha Watts, Orlando Johnson, Rob Hayes, Dj Groove or Paul Sureno, among others. Vargas recently also started his own label “Downtown Trax”, with his long time friend Rob Hayes, with this being a project in wich he has very expectations and hopes of success for a near future, being the Label currently on construction mode. Although Vargas has been heard at numerous venues and events, he holds a Monthly Residency at the Club Duplex (Coimbra - PT) and Weekly Residencies at the Lounge & Restaurant Still Is (Coimbra - PT), and at the Soulful Bar Zeitgeist Caffe (Figueira da Foz -PT), being also responsable for dj bookings for this last one.
