Many of you will know that we’ve just experienced two weeks of Mediterranean heat here in the UK, which has made us somewhat excited at SSRadio Towers about our forthcoming boat party. But amongst the flip-flops and sunshades there's been plenty happening, so we’re back once again to give you a brief run-down...

Unless you binned our last newsletter before reading it, you'll know that we’re 7 this year. And to celebrate we’ve teamed up with Soul Kandi and the Vocal Booth Weekender to throw our biggest soulful boat party to date.

With early-bird tickets selling out in little over a week, it’s proof that this event is well overdue. We’re now the best part of half-way through the 2nd release of tickets, so things are shaping up nicely!

Gavin Peters’ name went global in 2007 when he and Sy Sez teamed up to create the production outfit AphroDisiax. In no time at all, AphroDisiax became a heavy-hitting name in the scene, regularly featuring in the House charts.

AphroDisiax have collaborated with artists Kelle le Roc, DJ Romaine, Taista D’Mour, Karizma, Bugz in the Attic, Mike Patto and Phil Asher and their productions have been signed to labels Soul Heaven Records, Soul Shine, Brazilian Soul Crew, Shake and Pop, Jus’House, Seamless Recordings to name but a few.

Gavin joined us with his AphroDisiax show earlier this year, which has already proved to be a highly-popular.

Sy Sez is a London DJ whose journey began playing on many of London's pirate radio stations. Along with his radio shows he began playing at local house & warehouse parties, and since then has graced many of the UK and Europe's finest clubs and venues.

Remember this cat's name - with his unique style of Deep, Soulful, Gospel Afro-Beat and Latin house, he has a serious love for the music he plays, and his passion shines through in any of the sets you will hear him play.

Sy Sez will be spinning back-to-back with his AphroDisiax partner-in-crime Gavin Peters on the boat.

We're also chuffed to officially announce that Natasha Watts will be once again joining us on the boat.

Over the years Natasha's has collaborated with many well-respected artist and producers, more recently working with the likes of Glenn Thornton and Dawn Tallman to name a few.

Those of you who caught her at Southport will be familiar with her ability to command a crowd!

Finally, we'd like to apologise if you've been seeing this screen a bit too often.

It seems that we'd outgrown our old web server and it could no longer cope with the demand, so we've spent the last few days moving everything over onto a shiny new server with faster chips and buckets more memory.

We'll be making a few more tweaks over the next few days, but hopefully it'll be the last you'll see of the dreaded error screen :)
