Welcome to Issue 18 of the SSRadio newsletter

The response to our 5th anniversary party really has been overwhelming, with tickets for the boat party selling out in less than 3 weeks! With just over a week before the big day, we're getting very excited about partying with the SSRadio family and seeing so many of you come together from far and wide to celebrate our birthday. There are still some advance tickets left for the evening part of the event, so read on to find out how to get your hands on one.

Last call for 5 years of SSRadio!

5 Years of SSRadio

Unless you've been hiding under a rock for the last 6 weeks, you'll know that we're throwing a birthday party in Reading, England this Saturday 10th July 2010 to bring together the many DJs, listeners and music-lovers that have helped us keep the spirit alive since 2005. The event is in association with House Fetish and Vocal Booth, and will be the official warm-up for Andy Ward's Vocal Booth Weekender in September.

If you were lucky enough to get a ticket for the day-time boat party before they sold out then you have a treat in store, but fear not otherwise as you can still attend the evening event which is playing host to lots of SSRadio DJs including Grant Nelson and Andy Ward, and promises to be the icing on the cake. We'll be kicking it off at 7pm in Mango's intimate garden space with a BBQ party, giving you a chance to (hopefully) soak up the last of the suns rays before night falls, when we'll open up the main club.

Advance tickets are just £6 plus booking fee, and are available to buy online here. If you need a place to stay overnight, drop us a mail and we'll hook you up with details of the nearest hotels.

We truly hope you can make it, and look forward to seeing the SSRadio family, both old and new, come together in one place to mark this special occasion with us.

At the party: Natasha Watts

Natasha WattsWe're also extremely pleased to announce that soulful House diva Natasha Watts will be joining us on the boat and performing live for all you lucky boat party ticket holders!

Busy building a name for herself in the last year, 2009/10 has seen her record over 20 tracks ready for release. You may know her as the lead singer with the band Funkshone, with whom she has performed many live gigs and been given rave reviews. Natasha is perfecting her writing ability and has written the majority of her work. She is now looking to record her debut solo album which she hopes to be ready in 2010. Her styles are very varied, from Funk to Soul to House to Nu Soul.

Natasha started out many years ago with mostly disappointments and let-downs, but this has not stopped her fulfilling her dreams, and if anything it has pushed her more. Natasha will be a force to be reckoned with in years to come, and if hard work and determination were a prize Natasha would definitely win it!

We look forward to seeing her in action on the boat on Saturday 10th July.
