Profile: RUBI R-Tres (Rendezvous, NYC / R-Tres Revival Rhythms) Brooklyn’s Best-Kept secret, RUBI R-Tres; synonymous with her special delivery of Underground Dance Music, she enjoys expressing herself through various sounds by telling her own story, and working the tracks passionately. Her selection is unique which varies anywhere from Deep House, Soulful Vocals, Hi-Tech Soul, Deep Techno, Electronica, Afro-Tech House, and Classic House. She enjoys going left field with other genres such as New Wave, Funk-Disco-Garage, and Old School Hip-Hop. RUBI established her name throughout New York City since 2005, spinning at various hot spots such as Sapphire Lounge, Sin Sin, LeSouk, Union Square Lounge, Bembe, and HK Lounge. Currently, RUBI is back at Sapphire Lounge playing every second Monday of the month at her own party called "RENDEZVOUS, NYC," you can find RUBI on the decks along with her supporting residents, and special guests. RUBI successfully established her own signature sound called "R-Tres Revival Rhythms," which also airs bi-weekly every other Monday at 7pm-9pm EST / 12am-2am BST on Also, she has played on other internet radio stations such as Pre-Party Radio (2 year residency), and has appeared as a guest on Down Shift Radio, and Frisky Radio. She's had opportunities in opening for well known DJ artists such as DJ Disciple, DJ Dove, Jon Cutler, Mr. V, Ebar aka Indicant, Oscar P, Peter Reyes, Kenny Summit, and Scott Wozniak. Her inspirations are artist such as Larry Heard, Kerri Chandler, Glenn Underground, Ron Trent, Masters at Work, Wayne Gardiner, Vince Watson, Vincenzo, Derrick May, Carl Craig, Jeff Mills, Chymera, Rocco, Nick Holder, Joseph Valentin, and Steven Garcia.
